HOME, UNSPEAKABLE
HOME, UNSPEAKABLE is a collaborative release from John Duncan and Bernhard Günter. The album was conceived, composed, recorded, and mastered at Bernhard Günter's studio on several occasions during 1996, and employs additional sound material by Max Springer.
"The music on this cd was inspired by Samuel Beckett's libretto for Morton Friedman's chamber opera NEITHER.
It is constructed as a series of musical 'places', which in their entirety form the topography of a 'landscape' we feel might be described by the final words of Beckett's text: unspeakable home.
